Welcome to our hotel !

Guests always have been welcome in our region, on the historic "Roman Route" Vienna - Enns in the heart of Austria (Ostarichi). For example Kriemhilde von Burgund, and up until the 15th century some other famous historic figures were "Feld bei Rems".

With the construction of the West-Railway (1858) and the railroad to Steyr (1868) our town St.Valentin gained new importance as a connecting point. The postal service and travel activity shifted from the close "Reichstrasse"
to the tracks. Therefore, the construction of the post office by the railway station was the reason for the building of our hotel, the "Gasthof zur Post" (1890). The transport and horse and carriage business Pfaffenbichler was located right in front of our house and had its stables in the building
next to us.

Alois Rogl and his wife Maria purchased the estate in 1938 and built guestrooms and a bowling alley. He and his spouse managed the business until the takeover by their son Franz in 1970.

We, the present owners, Franz and Annemarie Rogl, expanded the estate
to a full service hotel. Our hotel now has deluxe rooms, restaurants, coffee shop, function rooms, and a garden terrace for family parties, company events, travel groups, and many other events.
